Our office will be closed from January 7th - January 17th to participate in a Woodcarving show in Yuma, AZ. We will be able to some most orders

while we are gone but we may not have all products with us and will have to ship some orders when we return. We regret any inconvenience but

we will do our best to ship your order as quickly as possible.

Orders received after 1/5/09 will be shipped after we arrive in Yuma. We will not be shipping any wood or gourd supplies during this time.

FLORAL PYROGRAPHY

Floral woodburnings that look so alive and natural you can almost smell them!

I have always been a nature lover, and especially love the fragrance and beauty of flowers. Moving back to the Pacific Northwest has provided me with a wonderful opportunity to not only create lovely gardens in the yard with wonderful fragrances, but also to find wonderful flowers to photograph and use as reference for burnings and drawings.

All of my floral pieces are done from her own garden or photos I or Alan have taken along the way!

Now living in New Mexico I have started my new garden. I am growing a variety of roses, iris and gourds. I should have lots of new material for burning!

"Hummingbird 'n Bloom"

14" basswood cheeseboard

This is a colorized version of a burning I did several years ago. I made many changes to the original design and added just a hint-a color. I used a photo of one of the hummingbirds from our backyard bird sanctuary and put it together with some of the vines hanging over our wall. Although we don't have an old beat up fence, I used reference photos of old fences and hinges and put them together to create this old fence. We have built a paradise for birds in our yard complete with trumpet vines, butterfly bushes and rose of sharon.

Iris buds are extremely complicated forms with the ruffled petals curled around themselves and the paper edges of the bud leaf ... absolutely perfect rendition!!!!
