Metal Leaf and Adhesive size (glue) for gourd art, stampers, scrapbookers and other crafters

Mona Lisa metal leaf offers a great variety of choices from the solid metallic's such as gold to the four different variegated colors that really add pizzazz to any project.

Use metal leaf to enhance gourd art. It can be used for scrapbooking, stamping and other crafts. Metal leaf will work on leather, metal, glass and many other materials.

Metal leaf is easy to use and can enhance any project.

NOTE: It is recommended to use a sealer on metal leaf to help prevent oxidation, tarnishing or deteriorating from handling. You can seal with acrylic sprays, such as clear Americana Finishes Spray or a traditional shellac finish which is a favorite of my husband. It is always a good idea to seal any leafed project with a minimum of two coats of sealer or varnish. Spray sealers such as Krylon clear coat will maintain more of the leaf original brilliance and color. Brush on sealers will deepen the color of the leaf. For a decorative object that will not be handled much, like a picture frame, the spray sealer is the best choice. For an object that might be handled frequently or be subject to extra wear, the brush-on sealer will give more protection. It's always best to experiment with sealers on a sample before using it on a good piece of art.

	Palette Stamp and Stick Glue Pad Kit Contains Glue pad & 1/2 oz. Refill Bottle It is a clear, heat-activated adhesive solution for applying metal leaf, glitter, metallic pigments. It is also perfect for embossing, accent or chalk powders or to a rubber stamped image. Create dynamic effects for scrapbooks, cards, home decor items, gourd art and so many other applications. The Stamp and Stick Glue is suitable for all types of surfaces. You can apply this glue to the Stamp & Stick Glue Pad, applicator cubes or you can use it with a paint brush for intricate areas. Use the refill replace your depleted glue on your applicator cube. You must heat set the glue with a embossing heat tool until the glue is no longer shiny, it will be sticky to accept your dry mediums. This is the NO MUSS, NO FUSS way adhesive to use with metal leafing, embossing powders and accent powders! Tips for using the glue: 1. FYI: when the directions say heat until tacky...it actually means heat to activate. I have found that it is virtually impossible to overheat it; you're more likely to burn your paper. However, this also means that it must be heat set all the way. Any patches of wet ink will cause whatever media you apply to it, to smear. 2. When you're working with gold leaf, pearl powders and chalks, we have found that these can be applied to a variety of surfaces. The gold leaf looks especially brilliant on black linen paper, but it can also be used on glass, gourds, plastic, a leather picture album, finished and un-finished wood. 3. Glitter, however must be used on a non-porous surface. Of all the media that we are talking about, glitter is the one that wants to stick the least. It needs that extra oomph, if you will, to hold. 4. So, when starting, stamp your image with the glue pad or applicator cube and heat to activate. This usually takes between 20-30 seconds, depending on the size of the image. When done, check to make sure that there aren't any spots of wet ink, and then apply your media.
