THIN: Fast-cure, water thin. Will fill hairline cracks. Application: rubber, metals, balsa, plywood, plastics, glass, cracked marbles, hairline gap filling. Ideal for working with inlay such as Inlace Inlay, for soaking & strengthening wooden parts (bills, toes) and for gluing non-porous items (ceramic, plastics, etc.).

MEDIUM: Medium-cure, like syrup. Will fill small cracks. Ideal for gourd artists wishing to use it to inlay beads and stones and fill small cracks. Application: rubber, metals, balsa, plywood, plastics, glass, cracked marbles, hairline gap filling. For soaking and strengthening wooden parts (bills, toes) and for gluing non-porous items (ceramic, plastics, etc.).

THICK: Slow-cure, like gel or toothpaste. Gap filler. Ideal for gourd artists to fill larger gaps and hold two pieces together. Application: rubber, metals, balsa, plywood, plastics, glass, cracked marbles, Ideal for working with gourds or Inlay when more working time is needed, for soaking and strengthening wooden parts (bills, toes) and for gluing fibrous, porous materials (gourds, ceramic, plastics, etc.), repairing tough, uneven surfaces.

HINTS FOR USING CA ADHESIVE:

To glue gourd pieces together, spray with accelerator first then apply the thick CA Adhesive. Hold briefly and it will bond almost instantly.

Gap filler: Fill the gap with baking soda or fine dust then add some thin CA adhesive and allow to set. It will fully set within a minute and will be HARD enough to carve with a knife.

Use it with our Micro Detail brushes for hard to reach places. I use the accelerator for an instant strong bond.

To preserve freshness and have the longest shelf life keep your CA adhesive in the refrigerator.

To remove CA from the skin use acetone or debonder available from most manufacturers.

Q & A ABOUT CA ADHESIVE

Q: What do I do if I get my fingers glued together?

A: Don't panic because it is non-toxic. Put your fingers in warm water and slowly rub them together. Acetone removes super glue, but it takes a long time. You can also use the gel debonder listed below. In case of eye contact, seek medical attention

Q: Will it bond dissimilar materials?

A: Yes, such as rubber, plastic, PVC, ceramic, metal, gemstone, leather, wood, bone, etc.

Q: Is it waterproof?

A: Yes, after it is cured.

Q: How do I avoid clogged tips?

A: To prevent tip clogging: Use a small glass jar, such as a baby food jar, half filled with acetone. Drop used tips into the jar when finished using the CA. Replace with a dry, clean tip from the jar. Rotate tips each time you use the CA and you will NEVER have a clogged tip again! Keep used tips in the jar with acetone until you need a clean tip. This will give you clean tips whenever you need them.

When you have finished using the CA, allow sufficient time for the CA that has been left in the tip to return to the bottle before replacing the cap. Sometimes, a sharp rap on the counter will assist in clearing the tip of the bottle of uncured CA. Always wear face and eye protection when rapping the bottle to clear the tip. Wipe the exterior of the tip with a paper towel before storing the bottle. Do not touch the tip of the bottle on a surface that has been sprayed with an accelerator.

When you need a fresh tip, use tweezers to get a clean tip from the acetone jar and drop the used one into the jar. Be sure to allow the tip to air dry before using it.

Q: How do I maximize the shelf life of the glue?

A: Keep the cap on tight (before and after use) in a cool and dry area that is under 60ºF. I recommend keeping it refrigerated. Just keep in mind that Starbond CA adhesive has one of the longest shelf live's of CA adhesive, a 20 month shelf life when stored in a cool environment.

We maintain all our CA adhesive in a temperature controlled environment even when we are traveling to preserve the freshness for our customers.

	STARBOND® gel de-bonder Unique non-dripping gel formula. Have you ever glued your fingers together, well this is great for cleaning glue from your fingers, removing unwanted CA glue from surfaces and dissolving cured glue joints. It will even loosen and dissolve dried glue and will remove any brand of CA Adhesive. Debonder cannot be used to take something apart that has already been glued together. If anything, you can spread some debonder on top, wait overnight, and maybe it will be easier to pry apart. Gel vs liquid debonder: Gel debonder is better for getting rid of the glue on the surface area because it's easier to wipe off after it has "soaked into" the glue residue. Liquid debonder tends to drip onto unwanted areas. Those who ask for the liquid one probably want to set their product in debonder, but you can do that with the gel debonder.
